Charlotte area home sales rose across the board from closings to pending sales from the same time in 2009.

Mecklenburg County saw a 9% increase in foreclosure filings for the same month last year. The total filings for last month were 1,098 versus 1,008 for the same time last year.

The Charlotte area home sales were up 4% from February 2009 numbers. Also, just as encouraging was the average price also increased from same time last year by 5%.
