If the four distinct seasons along with the beach and mountains were not enough, Charlotte has also positioned itself as a major player in the banking industry on a global level.  As both Wachovia and Bank of American house their headquarters in Charlotte.
 
If it is recreation you look for, you've also come to the right spot.  With both an NFL and NBA team (Carolina Panthers and Charlotte Bobcats, respectively), NASCAR racing twice a year, and the annually PGA Tour stop of The Wachovia Championships, Charlotte is a pro sports dream city.  Also set to open in the near future is the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
 
There are also many things for older and younger children, from Discovery Place, to The Nature Museum and the Children's Theatre.
 
If shopping is your game, then Charlotte is the place for you.  Whether it is visiting all the high end shops at Southpark Mall or checking out the stores in Concord Mills, if you want it, Charlotte has it.

When the cold air has been too much and your coat is worn out, it is then time to celebrate the warming up Spring! Flowers bloom beautifully just in time for Easter! And, of course you can't celebrate a 4th of July parade without a taking a dip in the river after a hot day of celebration!

Waxhaw is the perfect place to live if you love the beaches and mountain. In just little over 3 hours you can choose to travel to the beautiful sunny beaches or to some of the most beautiful rolling majestic moutains in the country!

When you are in Waxhaw your are at home! Come on in and enjoy the sounds of the way life use to be when the train travels through our town. If you are one of the lucky ones you can stand on the historic bridge and watch as the train passes under foot!

The Town of Weddington is located in Union County about 15 miles southeast of downtown Charlotte and 14 miles northwest of downtown Monroe. Weddington covers approximately 15 square miles and is comprised of mainly low-density single-family housing. The population is approximately 8,500.
 
Weddington has the distinct atmosphere of a small town and a quality of life, which provides its citizens with a sense of place.
